Margone is a hamlet of the municipality of Vallelaghi, in the autonomous province of Trento.
Territory
The village is situated at an altitude of 947 meters, about 18 km from the city of Trento, the capital of the autonomous province of the same name. The settlement appears nestled against the mountainside, clustered around the small church dedicated to Saint Mary Magdalene. It is surrounded by vast meadows, interspersed with modest potato fields, which end at the edge of the cliff overlooking the valley. From there, you can enjoy a wide panorama over a large part of Trentino: the Valley of Lakes with its lakes and castles, the shimmering expanse of Lake Garda dominated by the Baldo massif, the Dolomites, the Lagorai mountain range, and further south, all the way to the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.
